    Minimal Compact were a 1980s Israeli rock band that moved to Amsterdam. This song is from 1981, matched with a video from 1932 that’s as bleak, sad and beautiful as the song.

    The film with its original soundtrack, Cab Calloway’s ‘Minnie the Moocher’, has footage of Cab Calloway dancing at the start, and he appears again to sing and dance in the cartoon, as a walrus.
